Fire in Evia: The shocking aerial shots of the devastating flames

Images of destruction left behind by the fire that has been burning in Northern Evia for many days are heartbreaking.

Drone aerial shots recorded by UpStories in collaboration with the National Observatory of Athens over the burned areas in Northern Evia are shocking.

The video captures the magnitude of the damage caused by the blaze, from the interior to the coast of the island.

The snapshots were recorded on Sunday, but the fire continue its destructive work.

The “battle” with the flames in Evia continues for the seventh day, while efforts in the last few hours have been focused on the areas of Gouves and Artemisio.

Several settlements had to be evacuated overnight because of the fires.
