Thessaloniki: Young Pakistani arrested for attempted rape

The attack occurred in the centre of Thessaloniki earlier this month.

A young man who allegedly tried to rape a twenty-year-old a few days ago on the main street of Saranda Ekklisies in Thessaloniki was arrested.

The woman said the Pakistani perpetrator approached her in the early hours of August 11 when she was walking.

After suddenly throwing her on the ground, he tried to sexually assault her.

Following searches, police located him and found a small amount of hashish on him.

He was also identified by the woman and arrested.
