The Greek boss of Pfizer, chairman and CEO Albert Bourla was awarded the Gold Medal of the Hellenic Open University (EAP) at an event which took place yesterday at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre.
Also honoured at the event for the chairperson of the “Greece 2021” Committee, Gianna Angelopoulou-Daskalaki .
The award to Mrs. Angelopoulou was made in recognition of her continuous contribution to the country and her exemplary contribution to the promotion of Greece around the world, through various initiatives, cultural, educational and business.
Mr. Bourlas was awarded the medal in recognition of his contribution to the promotion and transmission of scientific knowledge and for the many years of worthy representation of our country abroad under his many qualities but also for his contribution to dealing with the adverse conditions that face humanity because of the pandemic.
