He’s become the first man born in 1998 or later to reach that milestone and the ninth man born in 1990 or later to do it.

The Greek was in all kinds of trouble in the first set—down 5-3, faced a set point down 5-4, down 3-0 in the tie-break, faced another set point down 7-6 in the tie-break—but Tsitsipas somehow pulled himself out and eventually beat Serbia’s Laslo Djere in two tie-breaks in his opening match in Acapulco on Tuesday night, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (4).

And it was a milestone—it was the 200th tour-level win of Tsitsipas’ career.
