Greek Olympic champion Anna Korakaki has contracted the coronavirus upon arrival in Norway to compete in the European Championships.
In the post, she said that she fell ill and has been in a quarantine hotel for the third day, writes lifo.gr. She wrote: “Dear friends, having contracted the COVID-19 virus, it is with great sadness that I inform you that I will not be representing our country at this European Championship taking place in Norway.
“I have a positive test result, so I am in quarantine at the hotel for the third day, according to the protocols of the Organizing Committee of the Games and the state of Norway. It is not easy for me to go through this, but I am optimistic about the future to recover and return twice as strong, ”the athlete writes on her facebook page.
