Underwater drone joins search-and-rescue operation for missing tourist in Chalkidiki

An underwater drone will from Monday assist in the search and rescue operation to locate a 28-year-old tourist from North Macedonia, who went missing on Saturday after he was swept away by currents while swimming with two friends at Myti beach, Possidi, Chalkidiki.

The search has not yielded any results so far but continues in adverse weather conditions, as strong winds of up to 5 on the Beaufort scale are blowing in the area.
The drone will start its operation when the winds subside and its camera can see up to 100 metres deep and 30 metres in front.
