20-year-old accused of beating teenage girlfriend because she wanted to break up

A 20-year-old man attacked a 16-year-old girl in Crete and is now on trial. According to Creta Post, everything happened on August 12 when the 20-year-old man and the 16-year-old girl went for a drive in his car in Malia, Heraklion.

When they stopped at a secluded place, the 16-year-old told her partner that she wanted to break up with him. He went out of his mind and started hitting her on the head.

The 16-year-old managed to escape him and a few hours later she confided in her mother everything that happened.

She went directly to the police and reported the incident. However, he had escaped and thus the police could not arrest him.

A case file has been put against him and has been sent to the public prosecutor, while it is expected that he will be set for trial.
