The president of PASOK-KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, tore his cruciate ligament tear on Friday afternoon in Zappeion while playing basketball as part of an event for the party’s founding anniversary.
As Proto Thema reported, the party leader may also need surgery to treat his injury, something that will be later clarified.
After his injury, he went to the hospital for an evaluation. Androulakis suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament, with the doctors debating whether he can proceed with a simple treatment or whether he should undergo surgery.
At the time of the injury, PASOK youth officials, party secretary Andreas Spyropoulos and members of parliament were playing basketball.
