Two men, residents of Athens, have been identified by Greek police as part of a revenge porn ring that had compiled a massive "revenge porn" collection, which was publicized after complaints by alleged victims.
The issue was brought to light by pelop.gr, which revealed the existence of a list of 141 revenge porn victims who either reside or vacationed in the city of Patras.
The videos and photos of the girls are taken from private moments with their partners or alone and involve women from various professions, from fashion models to a local dentist.
The victims were individually named and shared via mobile using an App.
None of the video files were uploaded with the consent of the victims who were horrified to discover their private moments were part of a revenge porn collection after being identified by people in their community.
So far, only one victim has filed a lawsuit.
