Prince Albert of Monaco is going to visit Elafonisos.
The visit is scheduled for May 29 and is being carried out following his desire to get to know the picturesque island up close in the context of an Ecological Symposium held by the Elafonisos Eco Association from 29/05 to 04/06.
It comes, in continuation of the participation of the mayor Efis Liaros last month, in a symposium in Monaco on the subject of the protection of the marine ecosystem of the Mediterranean.
This specific visit is a practical recognition of the balanced tourist development of the island with respect for the environment and the protection of nature.
As the mayor stated to AMNA, “we emphasise the quality elements of the destination and we are particularly pleased by the honorable visit of Prince Albert to our island”.
It is recalled that the municipality’s strategy has developed initiatives based on the slogan “selected by nature” that are systematically implemented with a series of actions that, in addition to the participation in the forum in Monaco, have recently been developed with different themes, such as cultural diplomacy, the Interreg Greece Italy program and wedding tourism, which enable the island to become more widely known to the world public with special qualitative interests.
