The first electric taxi in Lesvos - How much did the driver pay?

By 11 months ago

In addition to being - politically - blue (by voting for New Democracy), Lesvos is also starting to be green in terms of its fleet of vehicles. This driver, with the choice of his new vehicle, brought the first electric taxi to the island.

The owner took advantage of the mammoth subsidy in force, which amounts to 22,500 euros per vehicle.

This particular driver replaced his old vehicle - that is, he got all the subsidy - with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 for 49,000 euros, which ultimately cost him about 15,000 euros, with the corresponding depreciation in VAT, as a professional.

In a few words, he got the Hyundai Ioniq 5 for 15,000 euros, which will be amortised over the next five years, from the difference in the price of electricity with the cost of fossil fuels.

The photos published by Nea Lesvou, show the silver Ioniq 5, which will soon be painted yellow, like all Mytilini taxis.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 delivers 230PS with a torque of 350 Nm. The maximum range of the Ioniq 5 with a full charge reaches 481 km (WLTP).
