The awards ceremony celebrated the best in leisure and lifestyle travel, recognizing outstanding goods, services, and destinations. Greece emerged as a standout winner, earning recognition for its exceptional historical attractions and captivating islands.

Greece clinched the top spot in the Best Historical Attractions International category for the second consecutive year, as the magazine’s readers voted. This well-deserved accolade acknowledges Greece’s profound cultural heritage, characterized by its ancient sites and iconic landmarks.

Furthermore, the enchanting island of Santorini, known for its breathtaking natural beauty, claimed the title of Best Island in Europe for an impressive tenth consecutive time. Its picturesque white-washed buildings perched atop volcanic cliffs and mesmerizing sunsets have captivated travellers worldwide, securing Santorini a well-deserved place in the Awards Hall of Fame for this category. Mykonos, renowned for its vibrant nightlife and stunning beaches, also made its mark in the awards. The winners from each category will be celebrated during a special event scheduled to take place on June 27 in Philadelphia, USA. Representing Greece at the ceremony will be Konstantinos Harokopos, the Head of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) US branch.
