A Palestinian man attempted to rape a 19-year-old local girl who was having fun in a bar in the Tigaki area on Monday.
According to Dimokratiki, she told police that at approximately 3:00 a.m., the 33-year-old assailant followed her to the toilet and made obscene gestures against her. In particular, he tried to open her shirt and did not let her leave the toilets to try and have sex against her will.
After the girl managed to escape, she immediately contacted the authorities, and the Kos Security Department arrested a little later - around 4:00 a.m. - the Palestinian who tried to rape her.
A preliminary investigation is being conducted for the case.
