The new weather system named “Oliver” is expected to bring rapid changes in the weather conditions on Saturday, including storms and snowfalls in the mainland mountains.

According to meteo.gr’s forecast, localized rain and storms are already expected today, mainly in parts of the Aegean, Thrace, Crete, and western Greece.

There is a possibility of localized hailstorms, especially in the Aegean, Ionian, and southern parts of the Peloponnese.

In a post, the director of the National Meteorological Center, Thodoris Kolydas, states: “The new barometric system that will develop in the Southern Adriatic and the NW parts of our country is named Oliver.”
