Despina Papadopoulou, the wife of the late dictator Georgios Papadopoulos, passed away at the age of 93 after a brief hospital stay. She was admitted to the First Pathology Department of the "Georgios Gennimatas" hospital and succumbed to her illness at 09:30 on Saturday morning (25.11.2023). The news of the death of Georgios Papadopoulos' wife became public a few hours later, officially recorded at 18:30.
