The president of SYRIZA and the president of PASOK were at Fener to celebrate Epiphany.

Stefanos Kasselakis and Nikos Androulakis were at a distance in the patriarchal Holy Church of Agios Georgios after they sat on different sides of the church from each other.

The SYRIZA leader is in Fener, accompanied by a party delegation led by the political office director, Manolis Kapnisakis, Yiannis Bournos and the Diplomatic adviser, Vangelis Kalpadakis.

Avgi reports that the visit is taking place following an invitation from Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew during their meeting in Athens in October.

On Saturday morning, the president of SYRIZA attended the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Church of Agios Georgios in Fener and then consecrated the waters in the Golden Horn.

Kasselakis will attend a lunch hosted by the Patriarch at noon and have a personal meeting with him at 4:00 p.m., after which he will have a private conversation with the Metropolitan of Chalkidonos.
