Tragic Accident: German Woman Swept Away by Wave at Kyparissia Port

A German woman died on Sunday after being swept away by a wave in the port of Kyparissia in western Peloponnese.

The 66-year-old woman was walking with her husband along the pier when a massive wave engulfed her and dragged her into the sea. Her body was discovered approximately 500 meters away.

Strong winds and heavy waves persisted throughout the entire day on Sunday.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Kyparissia port authority.
