The incident occurred when Rodri's carrier was damaged during the flight. The airline immediately initiated a search upon realizing the kitten was missing, coordinating with airport authorities and deploying its dedicated airport personnel.
"The safety and wellbeing of all animals traveling with us are of utmost importance," said an AEGEAN spokesperson. "We are deeply concerned about Rodri's disappearance and are doing everything possible to locate him."
AEGEAN is also investigating how the carrier was damaged to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The airline has urged the public to rely on information shared through its official channels, as a €100 compensation offer circulating on social media is from a fake account and has no connection to AEGEAN.
The search for Rodri is ongoing, and the airline is committed to providing updates as they become available.
