Symi is a small jewel of the Dodecanese, with impressive neoclassical buildings, island architecture and stunning colours. All this is combined with atmospheric guesthouses and beautiful hotels.
In Gialos
Kaminos Boutique Hotel: This hotel offers an excellent choice of accommodation and very kind hospitality. The apartments are spacious and spotlessly clean, decorated in earthy colours with a minimal-boho style and exposed stone on the walls. There is a courtyard for breakfast.
1900 Hotel: The hotel has four elegantly decorated suites, with the original architectural elements of the building evident. They have very nice colour combinations and mix and match the decoration of modern and classic furniture and objects. On the upper floor is the terrace, which offers a great view. The family's neoclassical mansion was donated in 1862 to Captain Mastoridis by the English, for whom he worked and is most known for bringing the first diving suit to Greece and Symi.
Hotel Kokona: This renovated small hotel has ten rooms, each with a different, modern decoration. Some have balconies overlooking the settlement, and others have only windows. It also has a suite with a kitchen, which can accommodate 4-5 people.
Aliki: The building where the hotel is is just a few meters from the water. It is built in 1895 and was given as a dowry to the mother of Giorgos Gennimatas, who came from the island. The premises and rooms are classically decorated.
Opera House: Colorful buildings host decorated rooms with balconies. There is also a garden.
Limani Life: It is a small hotel on the waterfront of Gialos. It has rooms with balconies or terraces that have a discreet and nice decoration and are painted in tasteful colours.
Kali Strata
The Old Markets: The buildings of the old market, restored in 2016, together with the adjacent captain's house, have been transformed into elegant hospitality spaces. The decor is minimal, in earth tones, with few coloured touches, and the stone is prominent in the suites and rooms.
The Windmills
Symi Nautilus Luxury Suites: Classy, tasteful and with shells from different parts of the world.
Niborio
Ponente Symi Seafront House and Studios: The small family accommodation consists of 9 rooms equipped with kitchens. The decor is simple, but the big plus is that they are literally on the water. There have furnished patios and balconies, and the small jetties have sun loungers.
Pedi
Pedi Beach (22460 71981): This renovated accommodation is suitable for families on Pedi Beach, where the hotel provides sunbeds and umbrellas. The rooms have simple, modern decorations and face the sea. The hotel operates a tavern.
