Upon hearing this, Emma beamed with delight, turning to the film's director, Yorgos Lanthimos, and exclaiming, "That's my name!" according to People magazine.

Just weeks ago, the La La Land star confessed to The Hollywood Reporter that she no longer responds to her stage name. This revelation occurred during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, conducted alongside her The Curse co-star, Nathan Fielder. He interrupted the conversation to inform that he would refer to her as Emily throughout. Stone clarified that she adopted the professional moniker Emma Stone as her real name was already claimed by another actress.
