Shortly ago, the 70-year-old Greek-American tourist, who had been vacationing on the island, was found dead in Mathraki. He had been missing since last Thursday when his disappearance was reported.
He was discovered at the old harbour on the cliffs at Kontarakas. According to preliminary information, he was found without clothes.
It’s worth noting that on Wednesday, his friend had been continuously calling him via Viber, as he had an American SIM card, but the 70-year-old did not respond to any calls, prompting the search for him to begin.
Unfortunately, the worst scenario was confirmed today, five days later.
An investigation is underway, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
