KAOS, the upcoming Netflix series, reimagines Greek mythology with a modern twist centred around Jeff Goldblum’s Zeus, the King of the Gods. Set atop Mount Olympus, the show explores a world where Zeus grapples with existential fears as he perceives signs of his impending downfall, exacerbated by a troubling wrinkle on his forehead. Meanwhile, his former friend turned prisoner, Prometheus, plots against him, involving unwitting humans in a cosmic scheme to alter the fate of the gods and mortals alike.

The cast features a stellar lineup, including Janet McTeer as Hera, David Thewlis as Hades, Cliff Curtis as Poseidon, Nabhaan Rizwan as Dionysus, and more. The series promises a darkly comic narrative filled with intrigue and familial strife among the divine, weaving together themes of power, betrayal, and existential dread.

Created and written by Charlie Covell, known for “The End of the F***ing World,” KAOS is helmed by directors Georgi Banks-Davies and Runyararo Mapfumo, with a production team that includes notable names like Jane Featherstone and Chris Fry.

KAOS is set to premiere on Netflix on August 29, offering viewers a fresh take on ancient myths with a contemporary edge. For those eager to delve deeper, the first glimpses and teasers of the series are already available. They showcase Goldblum’s charismatic yet formidable portrayal of Zeus and set the stage for a riveting journey into the tumultuous realm of the gods.
