Piraeus, Greece - The stage is set for a monumental clash in the final of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament Greece 2024. Croatia and Greece, the two group winners, will go head-to-head on Sunday for the coveted ticket to the Paris Games.

This matchup between the Balkan rivals promises to be a clash of the titans, with Croatian center Ivica Zubac set to battle Greek superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo in a highly anticipated duel.

"[We plan to stop Giannis] by all means that are allowed by law," declared Croatia head coach Josip Sesar, hinting at the defensive challenge his team will face against the Greek Freak.

Zubac, who has been dominant in the tournament so far, averaging 24 points and 11 rebounds, will be crucial in Croatia's gameplan to slow down Antetokounmpo. The two NBA big men faced off at EuroBasket 2022, with Zubac serving as the primary defender on Giannis.

However, Giannis has been equally impressive in Piraeus, putting up 22.5 points on an efficient 73.9% shooting, despite playing limited minutes due to his recent return from injury. His minutes are expected to increase with the Olympics on the line.

The battle of the backcourts could also prove pivotal, with the likes of Thomas Walkup and Jaleen Smith playing crucial roles for their respective teams in the semi-finals. Their ability to provide scoring punch and open up space for the star big men could be the X-factor.

"I'm glad we won even if we played bad against the Dominican Republic," said Croatia's veteran forward Mario Hezonja. "We will have to give it our all to defeat Greece in the Final."

Greece head coach Vasilis Spanoulis echoed a similar sentiment, stating: "We have 40 minutes until we achieve our goal. That's our main target. We have to rest and get ready for the next one."

The two teams have a recent history, having met in the semi-finals of the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, where Croatia emerged victorious. However, Greece hold the overall advantage in their head-to-head matchups.

With the stakes at their highest, the stage is set for a thrilling final in the birthplace of drama, Piraeus. Basketball fans around the world will be eagerly anticipating this clash of titans, as one team secures their ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
