Local authorities on Mykonos have apprehended four foreign nationals and one Greek citizen for various drug-related offenses during three separate incidents over the weekend.
On Saturday afternoon, two foreign nationals, aged 28 and 29, were arrested after police intercepted a package intended for their rental accommodation. The package contained 9.2 grams of processed cannabis, 1.3 grams of cocaine, two tablets, and one gram of crushed tablets, all without a prescription.
Later that day, two additional foreign nationals, aged 20 and 21, were detained during a routine police check. They were found with 24 packages holding 11.5 grams of cocaine and 1.5 grams of MDMA, which were reportedly meant for distribution. Furthermore, the 21-year-old was caught riding a moped without a valid driver’s license.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, a 26-year-old Greek man was arrested after police discovered 6.5 grams of cannabis and 12 prescription tablets concealed in his possession.
All drugs and related evidence have been confiscated, and the suspects are set to appear before the Syros Prosecutor’s Office.
