The returned items include a fragment of a marble tombstone depicting a female figure in flat frontal relief, a section of an Attic funerary relief made from Pentelic marble, and a bronze statuette of a nude young man.
Culture Minister Lina Mendoni emphasized the significance of repatriating such antiquities, stating, “The return of artifacts that rightfully belong to Greece but are held abroad is a matter of national importance and a high political priority for the Ministry of Culture. This success underscores the effectiveness of our bilateral agreements to prevent and address the illegal trafficking of cultural goods.”
