As of November 2021, there have been changes regarding which countries require an International Driving Permit (IDP) to drive in Greece for stays of less than six months. These updates mean that certain countries now join the list of those exempt from needing an IDP, similar to European Union member countries.
The Greek Government website provides a list of countries that do not need an IDP. If your country is not on this list, Greek law mandates that you have an International Driving Permit to drive legally in Greece.
