Berlin, Germany - German law enforcement officials have successfully apprehended a 32-year-old suspect in connection with the shooting incident that transpired at a beach bar in Halkidiki, Greece, in August.
The suspect is believed to have played a key role in the events that unfolded on August 16th at a beach bar in the Haniotis area. Following an altercation between Bulgarian patrons and the establishment's 55-year-old Bulgarian owner, three individuals entered the premises and discharged firearms, resulting in injuries to three individuals.
Upon determining that the 32-year-old suspect had fled to Germany, Greek authorities collaborated with their German counterparts and secured a European arrest warrant, leading to the suspect's apprehension. Extradition proceedings to Greece are currently underway.
The five other Bulgarian nationals were previously detained in Greece in relation to the shooting, with three of them providing testimonies to an investigating magistrate.
