Parking spaces in Athens cost the same price as an apartment!

The price of parking spaces in Athens is experiencing a crazy upward trend, which borders on the absurd.

At a time when simple apartments are now sold at the prices of luxury homes, prices for parking spaces of only a few square metres are absurd.

“They are quite expensive. It is probably as much as a house costs,” consumers said to ANT1.

According to the report, parking spaces in the centre of Athens have skyrocketed in price.

Themis Bakas, a realtor, told ANT1 that a parking space in Pedion tou Areos in 2020 was 15,000 euros, and today, it is 30,000 euros.

In Kypseli, a parking space in 2020 was 10,000 euros, while today, its price has skyrocketed to 20,000 euros.

In some cases, parking space prices exceed those of houses. A typical 15 sq.m. parking space in Kolonaki is 250,000 euros.

Rental prices for a parking space are also expensive. In Pagrati, for example, a parking space is rented for 220 euros per month.
