Cypriot MEP to Wed in 2025, Vows Abstinence

NICOSIA, Cyprus – Cypriot Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Fidias Panayiotou announced his plans to marry his partner, Styliana Averkiou, in 2025, revealing the couple's commitment to abstinence until their wedding day.

In a candid interview on the Cypriot television program "Gro Plan" with host Elita Michailidou, Panagiotou described his whirlwind romance with Averkiou as "love at first sight," praising her inner and outer beauty and sharing how she has brought newfound joy and stability to his life.

The MEP, who also discussed his work in the European Parliament and the recent debate surrounding mobile phone use in schools, revealed that the couple has decided to practice abstinence until their wedding. Panagiotou explained that they view this commitment as a "beautiful process" and a "challenge" that will strengthen their bond. He expressed excitement for their upcoming wedding and his readiness to propose.
