He emphasized that Greece now stands out as a beacon of stability and growth amidst a Europe plagued by uncertainty and a world reshaped by new dynamics. “We are undoubtedly witnessing a transformed reality both globally and within Europe,” Marinakis stated, adding, “Despite facing tough years filled with conflicts and unprecedented crises, alongside numerous unresolved citizen issues, Greece has emerged stronger on defense and diplomacy, while taking a leading role on the international and European stage.”
Addressing concerns about potential shifts in defense agreements, Marinakis expressed confidence that Trump would maintain these deals with Cyprus, assuring that inter-state relations would not only remain intact but would also be further strengthened. “This is something that will not change; it will only intensify,” he asserted.
Marinakis urged Europe to accelerate its pace, echoing points made in the Draghi report, and warned against repeating the mistakes of previous years.
