Tony Jones’ apology to Novak Djokovic has failed to win over many, and now Nick Kyrgios has launched a fresh, expletive-laden tirade against the Channel Nine journalist.

The tension surrounding the Australian Open has been escalating both on and off the court, with a series of dramatic matches and off-the-court controversy taking centre stage on Day 9.

As the action continues, Australia’s Alex de Minaur takes to the court tonight, while Djokovic continues to grab headlines for his ongoing feud with Jones. The Serbian superstar has been embroiled in a war of words with the Nine reporter after his comments about Serbian fans caused a public outcry.

Jones issued a public apology, but it has done little to reduce the backlash. Kyrgios, known for his controversial nature, has criticized Jones for managing the situation.
