Located on the roof top garden of the Divani Palace Acropolis, some say this is the ultimate dining experience in Athens, as you can sit back and enjoy the roof garden bar and an entire range of Greek-inspired dishes- in full view of Greece’s renowned monument.

Starters include Cretan cheese and spinach pie; zucchini meatballs with halloumi cheese; salmon tartare with oak-smoked salmon sprinkled with Messolongi fish roe. Greek linguini carbonara with syglino (smoked pork) from Mani and Niotiko kefalotyri (a salty type of cheese produced on the island of Ios), grilled octopus with split pea puree and olives and Shrimps glazed with ouzo, tomato and feta cheese, surrounded by crispy fyllo pastry; plus a selection of Greek salads.

Fresh fish is always on the menu, as well as a variety of meat recipes, including grilled tenderloin with herbs, chicken souvlaki accompanied by baby peppers stuffed with couscous, and kebab with yoghurt and mint.

The restaurant’s desserts are also inspired by Greek flavours, including traditional honey pie with anthotyro (a Greek white cheese) and cinnamon, which is served with mastic ice-cream and sweet bergamot. Another tasty treat is the walnut pie, which is flavoured with anise and served with parfait ice-cream and passion fruit sauce.

If you are also up for a drink (or two) there is an up-to-date wine list offering selections from Greek appellations, plus a fancy cocktail menu to choose from.
