Greek coast guard rescues 61 migrants

Greek coast guard authorities rescued a total of 61 migrants near the islands of Symi and Farmakonissi late on Monday.

Specifically, 17 migrants were located in the sea region known as Nimos, near Symi, and were transferred to the island's port. The 20-year-old captain of the migrant boat has been arrested.

Another 44 migrants on a dinghy were located and rescued northeast of Farmakonissi. The migrants were taken to the port of Leros.
