Initially, Greece opened up a confident lead after winning the first period 24-17, but Turkey came back with a 20-18 win in the second frame to close the gap.

A closely-contested third period was just edged by Greece 21-20.

Nevertheless, the hosts pulled away once and for all in the fourth, claiming it by eight points to seal the routine victory at the OAKA.
