Three members of a work crew laying underground power lines for the Public Power Corporation (PPC), were lethally electrocuted on Thursday afternoon in the village of Gimno, Evia, central Greece.
According to reports, the three men were struck by 20,000 volts and died instantly.
The horrific scene was witnessed by several locals who rushed to offer assistance.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the accident and police have detained three individuals, foreman, an engineer and a supervisor, for questioning.
