Greece's Prime Minster Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that vaccination will not be mandatory for children and that his government will listen to the experts' recommendations.
Mitsotakis made the comments yesterday during talks with locals on his tour of Messinia which concluded on Monday with his visit to the town of Kyparissia. Earlier, he had visited the dam of Christianoupoli where he was briefed on the works in progress by Deputy Rural Development responsible for common agriculture policy Yiannis Ikonomou.
Later, accompanied by Culture Minister Lina Mendoni and the mayor of Trifyllia Giorgos Leventakis, he visited the Church of Metamorphosis of Christ in Christianoupolis which has been characterised as one of the most impressive monuments of the Peloponnese.
The Church is dated at early 12th century and underwent restoration from 2011 to 2013 in the context of NSRF 2007-2013.
