Dendias in Italy: Athens and Rome share close historic ties, common vision for a stronger EU

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, who is on a visit to Rome and the Vatican, met with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio on Monday.

"Greece and Rome share close historic ties and a common vision for a stronger EU," posted the Greek foreign minister on Twitter after the meeting.

Dendias and Di Maio also discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation within the EU.

The pair also discussed regional issues with a focus on Libya, the Western Balkans, the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East.

The Greek foreign minister also exchanged with Di Maio the instruments of the ratification of the Greek-Italian Agreement on Delimitation of their respective Maritime Zones.
