A Hellenic Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer was injured aboard the frigate ‘Aigaion’ on Thursday. According to reports, the officer was injured during firearm training.
The Hellenic Navy released a statement announcing that the NCO injured his right thigh and the frigate’s helicopter moved him to the Naval Hospital of Crete. He is considered to be in a stable condition.
All prescribed investigations into the incident are being carried out.
