A policeman was taken to Corinth Hospital on Sunday after being attacked with a baton inside the Holy Church of the Apostle Paul.
Police arrived at the church to remove the attacker. However, he attacked the two policemen with a baton, injuring one in the head. Other police arrived at the scene and the perpetrator was arrested.
The police officer was taken by a patrol car to Corinth Hospital where he received first aid. The policeman received three stitches and remains in Corinth Hospital.
The president of the Union of Police Officers of Corinth, Christos Vlachopanos, spoke to Korinthos TV about the incident.
