Stefanos Tsitsipas into the Barcelona Open Final

Stefanos Tsitsipas into the Barcelona Open Final in 3 sets; 6-4, 5-7, 6-3.

Stefanos Tsitsipas fought off a very inspired effort from Lorenzo Musetti at the Barcelona Open to book the final of the event two years after he lost a final.

Tsitsipas loves coming to Barcelona and he's done that for the past few years. Two years ago it was Rafael Nadal who played and defeated him in the final of the event with last year's champion Carlos Alcaraz defeating him last year. This year he's once again in the final so if he losses it will be the 3rd year in a row he losses to the eventual champion.

To make it to the final, Tsitsipas had to defeat a very good Lorenzo Musetti who in the end didn't have enough. The Italian player did very well as he was up a break twice in the first set but allowed the Greek to battle back every time. He lost the final game on a double fault which he committed on set point.

The second set saw him up an early break once more but he gave it back not long after that. Musetti then saved a match point at 4-5 and even took the second set 7-5 with some impressive rallies late in the set.

He didn't do that well in the final set which was a disappointment. Tsitsipas went up 4-0 and while Musetti pulled one break back the Greek still won the set 6-3.
