Wine, the gift of Dionysus! What was the attitude of the ancient Athenians towards wine? How was it drunk and what was it accompanied by? But in general, what did their meals include? Which products were local and which were imported? And what role did they play in the religious life of the city? Archaeologists of the Acropolis Museum will answer these and many other questions. Plus a unique experience that is offered in the restaurant on the second floor overlooking the Acropolis, with food prepared especially for the occasion and accompanied by a wine tasting supported by the Gerovassiliou winery.

Jazz concert with a night view of the Acropolis
Mammal Hands, one of the iconic bands of the new generation of British jazz and minimal music, will present a unique concert on the museum’s restaurant terrace with an evening view of the Acropolis. Over the course of ten years and five impressive albums, the Norwich trio have mixed influences from various genres of contemporary music, including post-rock, ambient and electronica.
