It's no surprise that this island is a favorite destination for travelers, attracting about 1.5 million visitors annually. In addition, Santorini is consistently recognized as one of the best places in the world to witness a breathtaking sunset, making it even more appealing to photographers.

Crete, Greece's largest island, closely followed Santorini in second place, with over 6 million posts using related hashtags. Mykonos, known for its vibrant party scene, ranked third with 5.4 million posts. It's worth noting that the island of Ios initially came in second but was disqualified from the rankings due to its name's similarity to Apple's operating system, "iOS."
Completing the top five islands are Kos in fourth position, with 2.8 million posts, and Rhodes in fifth place, with 2.5 million posts. However, it's safe to say that Greece offers countless picturesque locations, ensuring that wherever you go in the country, you're bound to capture an Instagram-worthy shot.
