A 33-year-old Pakistani man and a Bulgarian minor were driving a lorry, which they had stolen from Marathopoli, in the area of Agia Kyriaki and collided with a vehicle and then with a PPC pole, Best TV reported.
Neither of the two was injured, but during the police check, it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen. The two men were brought in, and after a preliminary investigation, it was found that they had committed multiple thefts and theft attempts in the area of Trifylia.
They targeted areas of Trifylia, with their activity mainly located in Marathopoli and then in Gargalianou, Terpsithea, Spilia, Filiatra, Halazoni, Faraklada, and Agia Kyriaki.
A total of 21 cases were investigated, with the case file against the two individuals including theft and attempted theft, damage to property, and dangerous driving and violation of the Road Traffic Code.

In the area of Marathopoli (22/6), they took a wallet with personal documents from a family. In Marathopoli (5/7), they took from a family 320 euros and gold jewellery worth about 15,000 euros.
In Marathopoulis (27/7), they entered a house, from where they took a bag containing 600 euros and personal documents. The next day (28/7), they took gold and jewellery worth around 1,500 euros from the house while staying in the same area.
Between July 27th and August 2nd, in Marathopoli, they entered a home and removed gold and jewellery worth 3,000 euros. On the night of August 13th, while staying in the same area, they struck again, stealing 200 euros, a smartwatch, and jewellery worth 1000 euros.
The following night, they entered a house in the same area and took gold worth 1,000 euros. On August 14, they continued their actions by removing gold worth approximately 1,500 euros from a house in Marathopoli.
Jewellery, money, and food worth a total of 4,500 euros were stolen from a house they entered on August 6 in Gargalianou. Two days later (8/8), they attempted to break into a house in the same area; however, they were noticed and fled.
Another attempt of theirs had the same result on August 21st when they tried to break into the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos during the morning, but they did not succeed and left. Their actions continued in Spilia, where on 24/4, they stole 800 euros.
They were also active in the area of Filiatra, where on 17/5, they stole gold, and between 8/6 and 12/6, they stole a pressure machine and a compressor worth 2,500 euros from a warehouse.
In the same area, on the night of June 15, they stole 3,500 euros worth of jewellery, while on the night between July 1 and 2, in Halazoni, appliances and household equipment were stolen.
On 7/7, the two perpetrators were in Faraklada, where they entered a house from which they managed to steal 180 euros, a mobile phone and clothes worth 300 euros.
On 28/7, gold and valuables worth 40,000 euros were taken from a household in Agia Kyriaki, and on 13/8, 50 euros and various items worth 80 euros were taken from a household in Terpsithea.
On 18/8, they entered a house in Vathi Terpsithea and took 150 euros and gold from it.
Two days later (20/8), they were in the coastal settlement of Vathi, in Terpsithea, where again they targeted a house, which they entered and removed 250 euros and gold.
