The Hollywood star Nicolas Cage has been in Greece recently filming his new movie, The Carpenter’s Son. After visiting Athens, he headed to Piraeus, where fans recognized him despite his altered appearance and took photos with him. These moments were later shared on the restaurant’s Arlekinos Instagram account.

Cage wore a colourful shirt, a white hat, prescription glasses, longer hair, and a white beard to keep a low profile.

In an interview on Live You, the restaurant owner shared details about Cage’s visit. “We sent him a menu, and he had other options, but he chose us. He enjoys Greek cuisine and is fond of Piraeus,” he said.

The owner described Cage as “ecstatic” during his meal, adding, “I greeted him, and he was extremely polite. That’s rare these days, especially for a Hollywood star.” The actor enjoyed a spread that included handmade tzatziki, dolmadakia, picanha steak, fries, and meatballs, all of which he liked.

The owner also mentioned that Cage was accompanied by his children and wife, Riko Shibata. “He had security with him, so it was difficult to approach him, which is understandable. People suspected something was happening, but they didn’t quite recognise him,” the owner explained.

Nicolas Cage is set to star in a new film focusing on Jesus’s childhood. Part of the shooting will take place in Megara.
