The Greek-American presence in the U.S. Congress has been bolstered following the results of the 2024 elections, with six Greek-American lawmakers elected to the House of Representatives, up from five in previous years.

This is seen as a significant victory for the Greek-American community and the Greek lobby in the United States.

Notable among the winners is Nicole Malliotakis, a Republican representing New York’s 11th District, who secured a third term with 64.7% of the vote. Malliotakis, who is of Greek and Cuban descent, has been a key figure in Congress since 2021 and is the only female Republican officeholder in New York.
