Taxis on the streets of Greece are evidently old, but occasionally you can see taxis that are modern, and some even bearing the logo of Jaguar.
According to figures, taxi vehicles that serve thousands of passengers every day and have perhaps even millions of kilometres on the odometer reach an average age of almost 20 years. Unfortunately, despite incentives for electric models, there are very few modern taxis.
Skoda, Mercedes and even… Jaguar!
Most taxis on Greek streets are Skoda, followed by Mercedes.
Other brands include Toyota, Nissan, and even Tesla, which we have recently started to see on Greek roads.
However, one of them that definitely stands out (at least in Greece) is a Jaguar XF equipped with a 180-hp diesel engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
As its owner says in the video below, this particular one has been circulating in Athens for more than two years. In any case, the driver and the way he speaks are examples to follow for the taxi driver industry.
