Five Turkish nationals arrested by Greek police last Wednesday have been remanded in custody after providing statements to authorities.

They face charges including felonies and misdemeanours related to weapons possession, trafficking, and distribution, as well as drug trafficking. Additionally, they are accused of collaborating with others to commit organised crimes.

During their appearance before the investigating judge, the suspects denied all charges, asserting they had no ties to organised crime groups involving their compatriots.

Notably, two of the accused had entered Greece just days prior to their arrest, reportedly with the intention of applying for political asylum. The case has raised questions about the individuals' activities and their potential links to broader criminal networks.
