Dendias to Greek community in Benghazi: We are back in Libya and are not leaving

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias visited the Greek community of Benghazi as part of his Monday tour of Libya's second city.

Earlier today he met with Libyan Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Atiya Abdul Hafeez Al-Qatrani where he said Greece is ready to support the reconstruction of his country, as reported by Greek City Times.

Following his meeting with the Libyan Deputy Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister met with Benghazi Mayor Saqr Bujwari.

According to a social media post, Dendias "discussed the upcoming opening of the Greek Consulate General in Benghazi that will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations and the further economic and local government level cooperation."

After his meeting with Bujwari, Dendias met with the Greek community in Benghazi and "highlighted the upcoming opening of the Greek Consulate General, stressing that Greece is again present in Libya and will remain so."
