Greece-Cyprus-Lebanon trilateral meeting in Athens on Thursday

A trilateral meeting between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Greece, the Republic of Cyprus and Lebanon will take place on Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Athens

In the context of the meeting, the three countries’ Ministers of Foreign Affairs will meet before holding expanded talks, followed by statements to the press at about 12:00.

The talks are expected to focus on strengthening trilateral political and economic cooperation – including the response to the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic and Lebanon-EU cooperation.

It will also focus on regional developments, with emphasis on the Eastern Mediterranean, Libya and Syria.

In this context, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will have separate bilateral meetings with his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon, Charbel Wehbe.
