By 3 years ago

Congratulations Miltiadis Tentoglou!

Greece's long jump champion leaped 8.60m at the 11th International Jumping Meeting in Kallithea, Athens, placing him third on the European all-time list.

It was also the best jump in the world for 2021.

“I have not made many jumps so far this year, since my coach and I work mainly on speed, through which I have managed to improve my performance. I believe that a bigger jump, even breaking the national record, can come soon,” the 23-year-old said.

Tentoglou smashed his lifetime best of 8.32m by almost 30 centimetres with his second round jump of 8.60m.

He is the 2nd best Greek long jumper, following Louis Tsatoumas who achieved 8.66m in 2007.

“Today’s performance gives me extra motivation for the Olympics,” he added.
